Returns Policy

Returns & Warranty Policy

1. Return & Refund Policy

Our goal is to ensure customer satisfaction with every battery purchase. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the product under the following conditions:

  • Returns must be made within 7 days of purchase with the original receipt as proof of purchase.
  • The battery must be unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.
  • A 10% handling fee will apply for batteries returned which are not tested as “faulty”.
  • Refunds will be processed by EFT within 7 business days of the accepted return.

2. Warranty Policy

Our batteries are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty against defects in material and workmanship. The warranty period varies based on the battery type and brand, as indicated on your warranty card. Warranty Conditions:

  • Warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover damage due to misuse, negligence, overcharging, improper fitment, or external factors (e.g., accidents, power surges).
  • Customers must provide the original receipt when claiming a warranty.
  • The battery will be tested by our team to determine if it qualifies for a replacement under warranty. The duration of the testing procedure is 2-3 business days and a loan battery will be provided when possible.
  • If the battery is deemed faulty under warranty terms, we will provide a replacement battery (no cash refunds).
  • The warranty period does not restart upon replacement; it continues from the original purchase date.

3. Non-Warranty Returns

  • Batteries that fail due to misuse (including the incorrect battery being fitted to the vehicle), neglect, or improper maintenance will not be covered under warranty.
  • Batteries that test as “good” during inspection cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Unused batteries returned after 7 days will not be refunded or exchanged.
  • Installation, delivery and testing fees are non-refundable.

4. Consumer Protection Act Compliance As per the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa, customers are entitled to a six-month implied warranty on defective goods. If a battery is found to be defective within six months of purchase due to a manufacturing fault, you have the right to request a repair, replacement, or refund, subject to the battery passing necessary tests.

5. How to Make a Return or Warranty Claim

  • Visit our store with the faulty battery and original receipt.
  • Our technicians will conduct a diagnostic test to determine the condition of the battery. The duration of the testing procedure is 2-3 business days.
  • If the claim is approved, we will process the replacement or repair in line with our policy.
